The Community Arts & Funk Festival is committed to promoting arts advocacy through visual/performing arts awareness, education, entrepreneurs, and collector development including but not limited to, fine art, design, and cultural memorabilia.

Vision/Purpose:

The aim of the Community Arts & Funk Festival is to promote 'Unity in the Community', showcasing a collective of arts and youth-serving organizations through visual and performing arts advocacy, cultural awareness, and edutainment to inspire and support cultural arts education, and creative economy entrepreneurs in all forms of artistic expression, through traditional and virtual learning, and production.

Awarded over $4000.00 in cash prizes and awards to established, emerging artists.

Attracted over 1300 people in 2011. (a 200% increase from first 2010 season)

Established 'The Artellectuals', an art collector education group and community resource compiled of art collectors devoted collector education.

Coordinated family-friendly outdoor arts and music festival events showcasing artwork, performances, and spoken word of adolescent youth.

Featured an eclectic line up of eclectic, original live music by some of the region's hottest contemporary 'Funk Rock' and 'Power Chord Soul' performers in the Midwest.

Provide an alternative targeted and 'high reach' promotion virtual marketing platform, for emerging and established visual and performing artists.

To acquire new and re-establish presenting sponsor(s) on a virtual platform for support towards future outdoor live on location festival.
