The judged fine arts competition offers a $1000 ‘Best of Show’ award as well as 1st through 3rd place prizes while showcasing a broad range of talented urban and suburban visual artists, both academically trained as well as self-taught, who offer a wide variety of subject matter, concept and technical approaches both locally and regionally. This festival also boasts an eclectic appeal of the urban music genre of contemporary funk and alternative soul that offers positive messages of social consciousness.
